If you’re feeling adventurous why not try a spot of four-wheel driving on the spectacular desert sand dunes? Get behind the wheel of a luxury Landcruiser and test your skills across the huge sandy hills. You can also plunge your vehicle through the numerous desert springs during what the locals call ‘wadi bashing’. It’s great fun!
Traditionalists can spend a night in a genuine Bedouin tent. Find out for yourself just how the tribes folk live, and enjoy a taste of their unique and warm hospitality while you’re there.
Back in the city, you’ll find hundreds of magnificent hotels to choose from, all with restaurants and bars open to the public. Many are themed, such as ‘Churchills’ in the City Centre Hotel, and it’s certainly worth checking out different ones each night. Be careful though; it’s still illegal to walk around the streets carrying alcohol.
For shopaholics, Dubai is a Mecca. Huge expansive shopping malls stock every brand you can imagine, and if jewellery is your thing then take a trip to the Gold Souq bazaar. Every shop sells the most amazing golden jewellery and if your bartering skills are finely hoped, you could pick up a real bargain.
