Chichicastenango: The market of Chichicastenango, located about 140 km and 2-3 hours’ drive northwest of Guatemala City, is home to what is undoubtedly the most colorful native market in North and Central America, perhaps in the whole Americas.
Lake Atitlan: Lake Atitlan is considered one of the most beautiful in the world by the famous novelist Aldous Huxley. The lake is 144kms from the city of Guatemala and certainly the most important of Solola and one of the best known in Guatemala. Three spectacular volcanoes, Toliman, Atitlan and San Pedro are the natural setting of the lake. It has an area of 125 square kilometers and 1,560 meters settled on the sea level.
Thursday or Sunday departure from Antigua or Guatemala City to Chichicastenango, visit the Church of Santo Tomas also the biggest and most colorful market of The America. Continue to Panajachel on the shores of Lake Atitlan, lunch (not included) and in the afternoon return to your hotel.
