Squaw Valley provides the ideal environment for beginners: introductory lifts, dedicated beginner slopes, and gentle terrain with plenty of room to comfortably develop the necessary skills to turn and stop.

First Time Lesson:

Learn the basics of turning, stopping and riding lifts at a comfortable pace.

Expand skills and gain confidence.

Progressive balance-building terrain gardens in our extensive beginner area.

Enjoy newfound camaraderie and feelings of accomplishment as you experience the freedom of gliding.

Beginner/Novice:

Experience more mileage and time to practice basic movements by starting in the beginner area and easy green slopes.

Expand your skills and gain confidence skiing/snowboarding on a variety of green slopes.

Master all Green terrain and ski confidently on easy blue slopes.

Inclusion

Lesson; PACKAGE also includes Lift Ticket and Rental.

Exclusion

Gratuity; Food and beverages.

Hours of operation

Available: Daily, November 26 - April 24; Lessons are scheduled for 10:00am. Check-in time is 8:30am-9:30am. Season dates are dependent on the weather.

Duration

Lessons are 5.5 hours.

Location

Adult Lessons check in at the Squaw Valley Rental Shop for packages or Ticket Office for lesson only products.

Located off Highway 89, between Truckee and Tahoe City, on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe.

Participant restrictions

Lessons are designed for adult skiers and snowboarders (ages 14 and up).
